Privacy Policy
Incite Health is committed to your privacy and we maintain the highest standards on the use and protection of your information.
We only use your information for the reasons you give it to us. We don’t collect your personal information except during checkout and the DNA sample processing and report creation that goes to you and your doctor.
We also don’t share your information with third parties without your consent, unless we are obligated to do so by law.
If you agree to it, we’ll use your contact information to send updates on products you’ve purchased. You can opt out of these updates by sending us an email.
After your doctor receives your full report, we remove your personal information from your sample, including your name, address, birthdate, and prior medications taken, unless agreed upon separately. Incite Labs automatically stores your DNA sample for 12 months. This is to ensure results are accurate if any issues arise, and to help us improve our testing services.
All samples are marked by an anonymous lab number only, so they cannot and will not be traced back to you. They are kept under international standards for quality and competence in medical labs in human pathology. Learn more about our lab standards and ISO 15189 accreditation.
After 12 months, our lab follows the disposal processes according to accreditation regulations.
If you would not like your sample stored for those 12 months, please let us know.
If we change our policy in any way, we’ll post a description of the change on our website before it becomes effective. If you have opted in for email communications, you’ll also receive an email with notification of the changes before they are put in place.
We are committed to managing your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and being open about how we manage your personal information.
Your data is protected by physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to secure the information we collect.
We use Shopify because they use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), an advanced encryption protocol, to scramble credit card information you enter, so it cannot be read as it is transmitted across the internet. SSL is the worldwide industry standard for securing transactions, and is used to maximise data safety when using a credit card on the web.
In the event that our security system is breached, we will work to rectify the issue as quick as possible, we’ll keep you updated.
